Task analysis

Technically advanced products can often offer the user many functions. Even even a small electronic device can solve many complicated tasks.

If the product design and the user interface are well thought out and successful, perhaps normal users will operate the product without the help of user manuals or "on-line help". However, this is all too often not the case, and a successful completion of any task requires the user to get help.
